Drift | Between

project overview
Drift | Between is an immersive ecopoetry installation responding to the fragile marshland ecosystems of the Gulf Coast. Printed broadsides and cyanotype-dyed fabric are suspended within a narrow corridor, requiring viewers to move through the work as they would a wetland—carefully, slowly, and without full visibility. The cyanotype process, with its dependence on light and water, references both early scientific documentation and the unstable conditions of coastal environments shaped by erosion, industry, and rising sea levels. Anchored by stones and marked with rippling floor patterns, the installation evokes tidal presence through absence, emphasizing precarity, impermanence, and the entanglement of human movement with ecological systems.
